Letter from the Cacao Hearth - March
The first warmth of spring is starting to whisper through the trees here in Pennsylvania, and the Cacao Dimension has been busy. Between new bars, upcoming rituals, a beautiful gathering of stone painters, and an inspiring chocolate expo, the season is beginning to stir.
I’m also excited to share that we are now working with two additional cacao growers. In addition to Doña Melba in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica, we’ve invited the magic of Finca Macondo in Quindío, Colombia and JeanMarie Chocolat in Aguada, Puerto Rico into the circle. I am having the time of my life experiencing the different expressions these three cacao terroirs offer to ritual.
As many people know, Costa Rica holds a soulful connection for me across many lifetimes. The cacao from Colombia is offering a beautiful connection of friendship through the love I share with its growers and their desire to see this cacao shine. And the soul of the cacao from Puerto Rico speaks to me of strength and resilience.
All Theobroma cacao. All medicine that touches us in a myriad of ways. And all beautifully different in how they present themselves through the diverse nature of the lands where they are grown.

Costa Rica — Doña Melba ~ Costa Rica will always hold a deep place in my heart. The cacao from Doña Melba carries a warmth that feels like coming home.
Colombia — Finca Macondo ~ The cacao from Quindío is beginning to feel like friendship unfolding — vibrant, expressive, and joyful.
Puerto Rico — JeanMarie Chocolat ~ The cacao from Aguada speaks to me of strength and resilience, shaped by land, weather, and the spirit of the island.
